Sheheen also had more donors than Haley, but a smaller average donation.

Haley has much more cash-on-hand, however.

Not to mention about 90-something% of his donors actually lived in the state, while about 30% of Haley's did.

It's not surprising.  Haley's been building her warchest for some time now while Sheheen only recently got serious about fund-raising.  Plus, there probably is still some lag on GOP fundraising due to the SC-1 special election with the primary and runoff that the Dems didn't have to waste money on.

Haley has said that she may not even run for reelection, so we'll see about this.

I got Haley winning re-election in South Carolina by a 55-41 margin due to the poor fundraising by the SC Democrats and no Democrat has won statewide office since 2006 or won the governorship since 1998.
