Because the majority of evangelicals didn't vote last year, and it would've been boring, and hackish for a conservative to wonder what would've happened if Romney won, lets say that the evangelicals did go to the polls and voted for the Libertarian... Could Johnson get some electoral votes in Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Tennessee and send it into Congress? I'd say probably....

The evangelical turnout cost Romney the election.

No, the liberal turnout cost Romney the election. His base turned out, but more Democrats did too.

Well I'm assuming/hoping that in this scenario, Johnson has a different ideology, considering Johnson is wayyyy to the left of Romney and even in some cases Obama on social issues. It would be really scary if evangelicals turned out for him because they were displeased with Romney and opposed Obama. But even if this is an alternate reality where Johnson would have an ideology that appeals to evangelicals, the answer is no, because to get electoral votes Johnson would still have to accumulate a higher vote total than Obama in those states and that definitely would not happen.
