Lol... Bushie just said that the majority of his Facebook friends are dumb.

Not so much that they are dumb, just that there are so many of them as I have nearly 400 friends.  Undoubtedly, I would have to explain it several times as I had to explain several times why I was going to school.  It's easier, and less exhausting, keeping it at Lesson.

Yes, I was wrong. I'm glad to see you made it to class today.

Thank you!  You know what?  I'm going tomorrow, too!

It's funny that he had to explain "several times" why he was doing something that many young people now just automatically do.

LOL, Has anyone ever tried to get Bushie to drink water, or do these conversations go the way of vegetables?

Bushie sometimes drinks diet, but normally he "treats himself" to a regular soda once a day on top of his twinkies. Wink

Sadly, years of nutritional abuse have malformed his palate to the extent that he cannot drink anything but soda.

Unfortunately, there would have to be tiny blue Michigans covering the "indecently" exposed areas for that to be allowed here. Tongue

Bushie was paying for playboy tv. I've posted more explicit stuff than that here and nobody's cared.

Duke? Are you going to respond and admit YOU were wrong?  This is a two-way street here, buddy!

Haha, it was a great day at school.  I felt good all day and now I'm relaxing for a couple hours before I have to be out this evening.  I took the test for LAP 3 right after lunch and scored a 100 on the first try.  He went over my progress so far in the class and is very pleased at my progress.  So far to this point, I am pulling a 94% in the class, which is a solid A.  He says I am roughly 1-2 weeks ahead of schedule which will keep financial aid happy.  Because of the doctor's note covering Thursday and Friday he is going to strike those absences from the record, so instead of a 79% which I would have had, I now have a 90% attendance through August and a 90.4% attendance through today.  I am now nearly ready for LAP 4 test which I will take tomorrow morning first thing before moving on to Lesson 5.  I should easily be able to get into Lesson 6 on Thursday.  With this pace, I will be into LAP 7 on Monday, LAP 8 on Wednesday, and LAP 9 on Friday next week.  LAP 10 by the following Wednesday (September 18) and LAP 11 by Friday, September 20.  This will give me a week to work on the project at the end of Course 3 and should be able to start Course 4 on Monday, September 30.  The tests are straightforward out of the book and I am finding nothing really that difficult in the drawings.  They are challenging, of course, but with my knowledge thus far in the first month, I will have no trouble picking those up and drawing those according to scale and specifications.  I am really excited about where things are headed.

Again, a reminder, a Lesson is a LAP (Learning Activity Packet).  The terms are synonymous.  If I tried to explain what a LAP is on Facebook, I would probably have to explain it 1500 times, and I don't feel like explaining it to them over and over, so there I will use Lesson, on the forum since the level of understanding is generally quite a bit higher than on Facebook, I will use mainly LAP, but they mean the exact same thing.
You've probably already explained this, but what does CAD stand for?

I don't exactly know what CAD is... do these drawings become three dimensional at some point?  Is it architecture? 3D printing?

I hate myself for reading this. Every time I come here, I hate myself for reading this. The hate begins before I read, and lingers long after I stop.

And like Bushie to grill stacked with hamburgers do I come back.

Kudos to all players involved. It's a solid read every time.

PS: Computer-Aided Design.

Bushie is taking a fancy art class. On the computer. It's aiding him.

I guess it's a worthwhile thing if you actually try, with 3D printing coming along strong into the future.  But don't you have to have you know... an imagination as well?

Maybe Bushie can be the Gutenberg of 3D and make a bible.

I hope he comes up with a better title for the next season. This one was misleading. There was hardly any talk about Kenya!

CADD - Computer Aided Drafting and Design breaks down into 4 branches.  First, you have the Civil branch which is designing roads and bridges.  Second, is the Architectural branch which is buildings and commercial properties, Third, and the one I am doing, is Mechanical which is machine parts all the way from something as simple as a printer to car parts and even airplane parts.  Fourth, is the engineering branch.  I switched from Architecture to Mechanical back in June when I was officially accepted into the CADD program.  These drawings will eventually turn 3D, but these are just the basics.  Right now, to achieve a 3D image, I draw three separate drawings, the front view, the side view, and the top view.  Just think, I could be designing the parts of the airplanes you fly in or the cars you drive.  Sleep on that tonight!  I could have designed the buildings you work in, shop in, etc. or I could have designed the roads and bridges you drive on!  Shall I say "Mwahahahha"?

This is the close of Season IX.  I will open up Season X in just a few moments.  I will open it talking about Kenya and how CADD will hopefully play a role in that.  That's what I meant to do this season, but it didn't quite work out that way!
