President Bush shaved his head for a little boy.

A really great man. I still say, if the growth that started in December 1991 had happened a few months earlier, he would've won a second term, and joined the pantheon of Great American Presidents.

Nice.  I remember reading, a number of years ago, Bush '41's published collection of letters.  Many of them were really quite touching.

His daughter Pauline died of leukemia when she was four years old. I'd imagine in that context he was really moved by finding out that a bodyguard's son who is near that age was afflicted with the same illness.

That's one of the most moving photographs I've ever seen.

It'd be better if Barbara had shaved his head for him, so you could make the headline: Barbara shaves her bush.

I saw this on facebook but I'm glad to see it posted here!

If there's anything one can say about the presidents Bush, it's that they at least seem to be decent human beings in person. But good people can easily be incompetent or misled.

Kind man.  Hopefully, that little boy will grow up someday and have his parents tell him about the time he met the former President of the United States and what he did for him. Smiley

This is why he is my favorite President of all time: He is so kind and human. It seems like I find a new reasons to love him even more every other day.

As a huge GHWB fanboy, I think it is really sad how many people simply forget he exists, let alone appreciate what he does/has done for the world.

He is an amazing man with a better resume than all presidents combined. His foreign policy is one of envy as he all but removed Saddam Hussein in a short period of time. I'm surprised his son didn't follow his strategy in Iraq, but then again it was a few years later. It's sad to see him look so old, but also happy to see he's still around. Does anyone know if he is in a wheel chair or what health issues he might be having?
