I'd only support if the cat is less than 6 months old and the cat never leaves the home.

I said support but wouldn't have it done. However, how is someone against declawing a cat but pro-abortion?

Strongly, strongly oppose (D, cat and dog person). Should be prohibited as a form of animal abuse.

I said support but wouldn't have it done. However, how is someone against declawing a cat but pro-abortion?

Please explain? I don't see the connection.

Oh you know just that abortion seems to be a much worse thing to have done than declawing a cat.

Nowadays they have plastic caps that your vet can glue on their claws that get changed every couple of months or so.

Declawing a cat is the anatomical equivalent of a human not only having their fingernails removed but also having the first bone of each finger removed. How would you like that?

I happen to be a cat and can vouch for how much it hurts. It would be the equivalent of a human having constant constipation for several hours and then when it all comes out, the obstruction causes rectal bleeding.

I favor the legalization of feline abortion.

How would you get the cat's consent?

wat

It's worse than constipation for several hours that results in rectal bleeding. At least it doesn't smell as bad.

you wouldn't, so none would happen.

Can a human woman have her fetus' fingertips removed?  If no, why is that unacceptably violent but killing it isn't?  If yes, why wouldn't it be okay to do so after it had been born?

You're saying that it's unethical for a human to have their baby's fingertips cut off so we shouldn't do it to cats? I find killing a fetus to be unacceptably violent.

Support, cats are among the worst ecosystem-destroyers around.

At least they aren't as bad as cows. Cows produce more gas than any just about any creature. I'm sure you've all smelled the gas cows can produce. Sadly, humans are at the top with the technology we have harming our climate. Please see my environment and energy ideas in the political debate forums.

Sure, why not? It's not like they gave consent to be spayed or neutered either.

If we don't spay or neuter our pets, then our animal population will be out of control leading to cats and dogs being put down at humane societies.

Spaying and neutering pets is ok and helps to prevent animals from being put down due to an overpopulation of pets. I like animals as long as they don't pee everywhere.

One of our cats is declawed because she was found that way. One is very young and the other just a couple months old. Both of them have their claws. Our middle cat wants to devote his adult life to fighting the declawing of cats.

Taking certain organs out isn't as painful because they're in surgery. Think about an overpopulation of cats and dogs. It would lead to more of them being put down and out of homes.

I strongly oppose cat declawing and feel it should be outlawed. My parents had a Seal Point Himalayan cat that they found as a stray that was already declawed and he suffered greatly due to it.

Was he a Democat, a fat cat Republican, or a Ross Purr-ot supporter?

Oppose (D).  I am especially critical of people who put their animals through unnecessary surgeries simply because "they look better that way."

I did not spend $10,000 on two German Shorthaired Pointers to not have them cosmetically enhanced to meet breed standards.

Surely the practice can be no worse than parents forcing circumcision on their infant sons Roll Eyes

Are your cats Democats, fat cat Republicans, or Ross Purrot supporters?

For those of you against declawing cats, are you against eating cats? I'm against both.

Who the f**k supports eating cats? I mean I guess I understand if you're in some dire straits, but regularly? No, just, no. Almost as bad as that proposal to legalize dog eating in Atlasia. (WTF)

Eating either one would be awful and disgusting.
