Apparently using stock photos in your campaign material is a scandal now.

Grimes outraises McConnell again in Ky. Senate race

WASHINGTON — Kentucky Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes has outraised Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell by almost $1 million during the second quarter.

Grimes collected $4 million between April and June, besting the $3.1 million McConnell raised during the same period.

It's the third time that Grimes, Kentucky's secretary of state, has surpassed the Senate's top Republican in campaign fundraising in one of the nation's most closely watched Senate battles.

Her campaign said it has $6.2 million in the bank as the Election Day nears. Campaign officials said they are plowing money into a field and data-gathering operation. The campaign began running television ads in May.

McConnell had more cash on hand, with $9.8 million.

I'm watching this "Fancy Farm Picnic" from today. It's some annual event with both candidates addressing the crowd with corny jokes (which seems to be entirely made up of campaign volunteers from each side) while the other just sits there and takes a bashing. It's really silly and awkward but hey, tradition is tradition.

I wasn't sure if the Fancy Farm was the greatest or worst political event I'd ever seen. LOL!

Some have already said that Fancy Farm has sunk McConnell for good.

Watch it and you'll get the premise, though I'm not sure of the sentiment. McConnell could barely read his script, no emotion, etc.

I'm not American, I know nothing about Kentucky but Mitch was incredibly lackluster compared to ALG. He clearly isn't a good speaker, she was excitable, energetic and he was just dull.

Can anyone imagine how dull Harry Reid would be at one of these things?? Imagine a Harry Reid/Sharron Angle Fancy Farm type event. Campaigns would cease to exist and the earth would explode; there would be no possible way to top an event like that.

Just discovered this on my Facebook newsfeed.  Kentucky now has a candidate with true honesty and integrity to vote for.  (Well, maybe not integrity.)

Grimes apparently violates campaign finance laws.

McConnell suggests he'd shut down the government if he were Majority Leader:

Benton resigns as McConnell's campaign manager after being implicated in the IA bribery scandal.
