With only a few weeks untill election day, I thought this needed a poll.

Some information about the parties:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_political_parties_in_Norway

The articles covering the parties are of varying length and quality, but they should all cover the basics.

Centre; the Progress Party's law and order stance made me a bit weary of them.

I voted other, thinking of Venstre.  Then later I noticed that you had it as an option.  oops.  There is an option that allows you to to let users change their votes.  Just FYI.  I always enable it.

None of the parties combine the economic model and role for government I have got in mind, so I selected Venstre for being the closest. SV, Miljøpartiet de Grønne, and Samefolkets Parti each have my sympathies to some extent, as well!

Venstre sound OK on many issues (certainly better than their Danish namesakes) but I think they're still a bit right-wing for me, especially as they seem to be expected to join a right-wing government.  So probably Labour, perhaps the Greens if there were a prospect of that not being a wasted vote.

Results so far:

Government: 46,3%
Opposition: 48,8%
Others: 4,9%

If only the real-life election was this close; would have made for a much more interesting campaign. Tongue

I would have thought that Høyre would poll slightly better here, but other than that this seems pretty much as expected.

Assuming: nationwide PR and splitting the other votes between angus and the largest 'other' party.

New Government: Progress (37 seats)+Venstre (29 seats)+Høyre (13 seats)+KRF (8 seats) = 87 seats

New Opposition: Labour (41 seats)+SV (33 seats)+Centre (4 seats)+Reds (4 seats).

Of course this is faulty because it's not nationwide PR (I don't believe so at least...) but it's a rough sense.
