the irony of all this is that Deen was an Obama supporter in 08.

That sounds like a great idea. So does Chinese, for that matter.

How about "Mountaintop Desserts" sponsored by Dream Whip?

Oh, come on.  This poll is from a Democratic pollster that is obviously trying to prove this.

She's not a political figure, so that makes sense. It may actually be that she's popular for her cooking style and personality, not any sort of racial ideas.

What's so sad is that MLK Jr. was a republican, he had all the right values, to judge someone on the content of their character not on the color of their skin. And I don't want to hear "the parties switched ideologies" crap, that never happened, what happened was the democratic party changed their stance on racial issues, and painted the GOP as the racist party, and it has worked. Unfortunately a lot of [older] southern republicans are still racist, and that is something that needs to be fixed. I am disappointed with our fellow southern republicans today.

PPP would do this, and they only did this because Paula Deen recently admitted to using the word N***er on someone which happened 30+ years ago. We are a much less racist society than we were 30 years ago, and at least she had the decency to admit it. They only do this because they can't help themselves to be a biased organization and favor liberals.

Libertarians praising socialists is always funny.

I'm just amazed that MLK Jr. has a 59% approval rating among the Georgia GOP! I guess a lot of those folks were lying to the pollsters.

Well, even in rural bits of the South, I'm pretty sure badmouthing the incarnation of modern civil rights is not seen as okay.

I'm not, but I assume that in this day and age, even some of them realize that badmouthing MLK is a socially unacceptable thing to do, outside of their own areas. Like when they go to Atlanta or whatnot.

Lol.  The Republican party is a southern party.  By your own definition the Republican party is racist.
