We have all seen the partisanship recently occurring between Laborites and Federalists. We have the seen the lack of bipartisanship in our American congress. Is that really what Atlasia wants? No. Stand with this caucus if you agree.

The solution to the problem of a two party system in Atlasia is not "bipartisanship".

I just exchanged friendly, productive messages with several Federalists this morning. I talk to Yankee on almost a daily basis. You need to look past the shrill exchanges that tend to draw the lion's share of attention in this game and toward the instances in which Federalists and Laborites get along fine and work together constructively.
This caucus is not exclusively for those against Labor/Federalist partisanship, but also for those who simply want the multi-party system to prevail and believe that is the best system for Atlasian politics.

And Averroes, you are absolutely right that some members of both parties have displayed excellent bipartisanship, and I hope the rest of the party will follow in your footsteps.

If anything, we need more partisanship.

If you're against the two party system why are you for bi-partisanship?

Because people are more bipartisan in a multi-party system. A prefer a bipartisan two party system to a partisan one, but the way the two-party system is designed, it is difficult to eliminate partisanship.

You are aware that bipartisan literally means two-party, yes?

Yes, what I meant by that was that bipartisanship works better in a multi-party system. For example, a Federalist working with a Lightist, a Liberal working with Labor, etc.

I may be a Federalist but I'm supportive of building coalitions on specific issues where I can find common ground with those of other parties.

The more you care, the more the people who run Atlasia win. If we all sink to a level of apathy so unfathomable that they can't reach us, we win.

I don't think I would call our system a two-party one, even though Labor obviously has considerable influence over progressives and progressive causes now.

Not to sound like an angry Blue Dog, but the Atlasian left is totally unrecognizable from what it was when I joined two years ago.

Not as under the influence of people who are offensively partisan for the sake of being offensively partisan.

Please elaborate. I think I was on a hiatus from Atlasia then, so I don't remember.

I have been saying for months and I will keep saying that we must go back to a 2 party system before anything else will be viable. I know in the past, Atlasia has had multiple parties, but we have essentially been in a 2 party system with a few breaks between 2009-2011. If not for the manufactured dissolution in 2012, we'd still be in one.

Most of us in the game are Americans, so we are simply wired to believe in a 2 party system. The more we keep fighting it, the closer we move back to it.

I support the aims of this caucus, but I think the Federalist Party is best for me. I know, I'm not the best opponent of the duopoly here.

If you feels so strongly that we should have a two party system then why don't you join one of the two parties Wink
