I've been thinking... the current voting system is a joke. It's undemocratic (you can see who votes for who) and there's a load of petty and mindless rules about whether or not a vote is invalid or not.

Here's a suggestion: a secret ballot. Votes counted by a non-partisan Returning Officer. No votes to be counted until the polls close. No stupid avatar rules.
Simple, fair, democratic.

The only person I really trust to be non-partisan enough is Dave. I doubt he'd do it.

You could have a non-partisan group.  Something like this...

You must PM your vote to a select group of 3 members.
They issue the results.  Result totals from all 3 members of that group must match. etc...

There's no better group than the Supreme Court.  Unless, like in this election, one of the Justices is a candidate.  In which case, the 'select group' could comprise of any remaining independent Justices and somebody else of, say, the SoFA's choosing.

some voting reform is needed, but PM your vote to someone gives them a lot of power that could easily be abused
