No - the Olympic Games provide a fleeting opportunity for the peoples of our world to set aside their differences and stand together in solidarity. Why let politics as usual ruin our prospects of enjoying such a rare event?

Olympic boycotts are a terrible idea. Having said that, I wouldn't mind the US boycotting- as long as Canada doesn't. It would mean more medals!

No (D)

We didn't boycott Beijing in 2008, and the PRC is MUCH more of a human rights abuser than Russia.

No, and I'm sick of hearing the 'boycott everything!' brigade.

Yes (D). Maybe if we started boycotting their games, the IOC will pick countries that are not run by homophobic and totalitarian nut jobs.

We shouldn't attend the Olympics if they're taking place in a country that doesn't have free elections. That applied to China in 2008, and it will almost certainly apply to Russia in 2016.

I'm inclined to see the Olympics as a gigantic waste of money and a playground for the global 1%, anyway. I wouldn't mind if the US government cut all funds to the Olympic Committee and refused to get involved at all.
