Osborn, Sasse, Dinsdale and McLeahy debated each other yesterday.

Much ado about nothing. I'm still worried about a 2012 repeat.

It won't matter. The Dems can't win this.

I think Rogue means on the R side. Osborn and Sasse might tear each other down and another might emerge.

Interesting, though since Osborn is already been dealing with this doubt it becomes a BFD.

Good Drucker piece on this race. Lesson: keep the outsiders off air. NE Pubs don't like being used as proxies.

Veterans group endorses Osborn.

Freedomworks is still imploding, but FWIW they've switched their endorsement to Sasse.

I think Osborn screwed himself by getting all the major endorsements and backing early, which allowed Sasse to attack him as being a mainstream Republican even though they're both equally conservative. He's also made a few dumb mistakes, and hasn't attacked Sasse as much as he should (The man runs a goddamn liberal arts college, he shouldn't be considered the conservative choice!).

FreedomWorks didn't ditch Osborn because they thought he was too liberal. They ditched him because they want to curry favor with the person who's actually going to win, Sasse.

Unfortunately, the republican candidates aren't controversial at all. So even if the dem nominee, David Domina, is decent, he has no chance to win: SAFE REP Cry.

Osborn gets local conservative endorsements. Nebraskans on RRH say this is still a close race, FWIW.

Even Sasse's internal has a 3-way race. Precisely what's concerned me for months, with 2 weeks of negative ads left.

What concerns you? No matter what, a republican is going to replace Johanns, so what's the problem here?

Dinsdale winning the primary. Repeat of 2012, and MAD Episode 2 means neither would-be star glides into Johanns' seat.

Osborn and Sasse have to be careful that they don't beat the crap out of each other and let the self-funder Dinsdale run up the middle.

I wish I was wrong... but looks like I'll be right. That's what happens when you aim crowbars where it hurts while ignoring the self-funder...

Dinsdale's views on the budget intrigue me.

Osborn's flat tax comment was just... ugh.

Speaking of comments, some Dinsdale video.
