This was yesterday and today ? And voting ended already at 2 or so pm ?

I thought this was today and tomorrow, or just tomorrow.

And I wanted to make a prediction in the evening ... Tongue

But today was the National Holiday here and also my little nephew had birthday, so I was there and just came back ... Tongue

What are likely coalitions ?

Then, I think that great coalition between CSSD and ANO is most likely outcome, compromising with another parties, although I think that KDU would be a most reliable coalition partner.

The most logical coalition would be ANO + USVIT + TOP09 + ODS...

ODS would be very toxic as coalition partner. ANO-TOP09-KDU/CSL-Usvit would have majority by 1 seat. It would be a very unstable government, with many clashes of ego.
Paroubek got epic fail (he got less than half of monarchist' votes).

How about an "all parties founded 1990-2010" coalition?

The each other's closest parties are CSSD, ANO and KDU-CSL. There is non-formal agreement about coalition talks between them. The result would be most probably the government of CSSD and KDU-CSL with support of ANO party.

But there is important problem in the Social Democrat party. They have a coup attempt now, the target is leader Bohuslav Sobotka, he is under attack by Vice-Chairman Michal Hasek. The party leadership approve the resign apply for Sobotka. He don't want to leave the function. For the newbies in Czech politics - the main problem is not the election result of the party (official reason for the apply), but the influence of newly elected president Milos Zeman - he want Michal Hasek for the leader of CSSD party.

Babis - ANO party owner - is saying that the coalition talks cannot start, when there is a crisis in the CSSD.

He has a point. (the "resign apply" is not an English word. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by it.)

Maybe the better expression would be "request for resignation" - they want him to resign.

Meanwhile, the situation is escalating - there are two groups in CSSD now - people behind Sobotka and people behind Hasek. They are insulting each other - even publicly on the Facebook. In Prague there was a support demonstration for Sobotka. My tip is that Hasek will lose - a lot of people are criticize him now for his "treason".

That would be better, though the standard way of putting it is 'to call for the resignation of...'

I hate to be the bitchin kind but CSSD and KSCM low keys are nearly indiscernible. Or maybe it's just my screen ? Anyway good work, you get some clear patterns here.

TOP09 would hardly pass the threshold without him. They would get more votes, if Karel Schwarzenberg would look less senile. The "heartless commentators" says that the next elections will be without Karel Schwarzenberg - he is just too old :/.

Karel is sleeping in every occasion.
