For so much as it matters I shall veto this legislation if it reaches my desk. If you struck the last line I would be in favor.

Naturally, any patriotic Southerner would agree with the first clause of this bill.

Though of course, the second part is ludicrous.

The second part is an attempt to share the glory of our Empire with the starving masses of the other regions and allowing them to participate in our glorious Government. The first part needs no explanation.

I am more of the mind that the citizens of the other regions come to the South to partake in our shining beacon, rather than us bringing it to them.

Wouldn't putting them in control of our gov't while not possessing the ability to extend the benefits to them, risk that they vote to end the glory?

We tried to extend the benefits to our Pacific brethren, but it failed.

Are you really using a legislation debate thread to try to lure people away from our shining city on a hill? Have you no shame?

This is an important point. If the IDS had some kind of control or sovereignty over the other regions, THEN they could enjoy our grandness, but without that? Just giving them the vote doesn't seem fair for them.

Requesting unanimous consent to waive the cloture vote and proceed immediately to a final vote. Legislators have 24 hours to object.

We have one member still to vote, and it's a tie at the moment.
