Personally I had a mixed education. I spent My high school years in public school and my elementary and middle school years in a mix of religious and secular private schools.

Nope. I was very fortunate to attend Memphis City Schools from K-12. I find the idea of private schools, and especially religious private schools, very distasteful.

Yes, second grade and part of third only.  Second grade I attended a German public school and the first part of third grade I attended a U.S.-run private school.  In all my other K-12 schooling I attended public schools in the United States.

I didn't go to K, since it wasn't mandatory and my parents had one car and no way to get me there.......

All of the rest public, yes.

No.  And I don't think another was ever a serious option.

I went to a very elite private grammar school, where we wore uniforms, and to start off each day spread our arms out to face the rising sun over the ocean to recite the Salutation to the Dawn, after saying the Pledge of Allegiance. That was how I learned the word "verities" in fact. That became part of my vocabulary at age six.  Tongue

I'm sure all the parents found that adorable.

I went to Jack and Jill Kindergarten, which was a private one.  My school district didn't have public kindergarten until I was in first grade. Other than that, it was public schools.

One  year in the public system, and even that was a small school for a public one.

All public schools from K-12, though in honesty I couldn't say my education was entirely limited to the classroom, so with that caveat, I'll vote all public.

Option 1, I didn't live in a good enough neighborhood to go to public school.

No, my parents were horrified when the local private schools tried to recruit me.
