Depending on who you are, you get different feelings on Barfy. I get a sense of Laughter as I know he is not afraid to say anything and will get the D's riled up. I don't necessarily think he's a troll, but he'll say what he wants to say and its pretty basic, straight up and comical, and there's no one like him. That's why we need him here, and why we need every person here for their own unique personality traits.

Therefore I disagree with any petition to ban or report him, I think he's a great contributor and I hope his legacy lives on. Keep on posting!

I had a signature for a couple of days of a screen shot of the IP Board.  With one exception, it was all barfbag generating the threads - like 15 of them or something, one after the other, with little or no participation by other posters. I did it to send a message to him, that what he is doing just isn't working very well in this community. He would do better to focus on what he really knows, pick his shots, and then engage on that topic, rather than breed threads like rabbits.

Most of the time, I see his contributions as positive.  He is obviously quite intelligent.  Once in a while, he says something that is off the deep end and offensive.  I think its just a matter of time before he goes too far and gets himself banned.

I laugh but I do not laugh at him. Barfbag is a great member of the community because he knows exactly what to say that will bring the mass collection of left-wing faux intellectuals here into a collective screaming contest over who can attack him the loudest. Which ever left-wing faux intellectual can quote the most obscure source, use the longest smart sounding word or craft the most condescending insult wins the points for the day. Usually it is a European who wins the points, but not always. Recently I feel the points should be going to a 14-year old red avatar from Pennsylvanian because his usage of the rolling eyes smiley was just so original. Well done, well done.

Although I do not agree with his political views 100%, I do think that he is a very well-informed member of the forum and some of his postings are indeed insightful. Overall, I value his contributions to the forum.
