My mind is divided on which one I should start... I would like to do Annexing Counties because I have a very rapid strategy to go from Central Florida to North Carolina, Arkansas and Texas within 3 pages or so... But an Annexing Nations would be cool, but it would quickly end and it would culminate into a WW III.... Anyways I'll let it run for two days and on Monday night or Friday night I'll start the new game... Okay so let's go! Smiley

I enjoyed the counties one last year (?), but I think we'd need to streamline the rules a little bit. If you manage to cut off an area that no one else can fill, it should just get filled in automatically. Otherwise we'll be doing it forever.

So in other words, we need to make gaining things easier? Also I was wondering if we could do naval landings... I guess if it would be a naval landing, it would count as five moves (I think that we could limit the movements to 7 or 8...

Well, I guess it would sort of make it easier to gain things, but not entirely.

If you look at the map from the last game, you'll notice, for example, the my territory (light blue) had no where else to expand. If we've managed to encircle an area, why wouldn't you want it to work out so that the circled area gets filled in automatically? I mean, there's no benefit to consolidating those areas before expanding, assuming you have the chance to expand. Right? It just makes sense.

Also, naval landings do sound kind of neat. Not sure I understand exactly how they'd work though.

I'd be willing to run the next game if you'd rather just play, Jack. (I ran the last one after Spamage bowed out.)

I have an idea, after the End Game, how about transitioning to Annexing Nations?

Annexing nations sounds interesting, although some might have to be subdivied otherwise the game wouldn't be very long.

Would something like this work?

The problem is, I don't know how we'd indicate which territories we were annexing just by name. We had this issue last time around as well too. With such a big image file, you can't really ask that everyone keep updating and post the map on their own... the dimensions will change, the quality will degrade... it'll just be a mess...

How about we just know which people own which US state, or just have two maps, one that has the US counties and another with US grayed and the rest of the nations fighting and such...

And as for this...

It might be a little too small when looking at Europe... Maybe we could do a separate map for Europe, Russia, China and Mongolia, Japan and both Koreas, Southeast Asia, Africa, Middle East, Indo-Australia, South Africa, Caribbean and North America...
