This is bizarre... are we counting deregistered people's signatures? At the very least, the tally should be looked over; I feel this is patently illegal though.

The ridiculousness of its legality is quite honestly part of the impetus.

I don't think anyone thinks any of this makes sense, but we're in a position where there's pretty obviously no rule on the books saying otherwise. Hence, the constitution needs some cleaning up.

This is really a golden opportunity to make not only the text of the constitution better, but to greatly improve and reform a game that has become very stale for a lot of people. The latter part will surely be tougher, but the first part need not be: We're approaching 30 amendments and there is a great deal open to interpretation as well as imagination in the current text.
