My view at the moment is that we should allow travel to Cuba but keep a trade embargo until political prisoners are released. What are the thoughts of those on this forum? Should we allow travel to Cuba from the U.S.?

The trade embargo is a joke (and the US sells stuff to Cuba now, like dark chicken meat by the truck load), and allows the Cuban government to blame the nation's grinding poverty, and incredibly low wage scale (30 bucks a month for everybody), on the embargo, rather than government policy failures. The US Consulate General in Cuba told me the above more or less, and that the sole reason for the embargo was the US Cuban lobby. Basically the embargo reduces Cuban sales of rum and cigars to the US. Cuba just doesn't produce much of anything else that has much value.

The Cuban Embargo has outlived its purpose.

you are living in the free world, in the free world you must stay

Is it your view that we should forbid trade with any country that has political prisoners? And if not, why is Cuba such a special case?

No and Cuba is very close to the U.S. You're for lifting both?

The trade embargo and the travel ban on Cuba should be lifted.

How long will it be before we could make them an ally again?

Who cares? We certainly won't as long as we have an embargo on them.

The Cuban Embargo has outlived its purpose.

The Cuban Embargo never had a legitimate purpose in the first place.
