We don't have much time, but let's get on with this anyway.

I will be the moderator, Akno21, of the Mid-Atlantic News Network. Our two candidates for Senate are Blerpiez, of the Farmer-Labor party from Massachusetts, and NixonNow, Independent from New Jersey.

The first question is to both candidates.

What is your position on election reform, from activity requirements to avatar requirements, and what is your view on a proposed secret ballot?

Follow-up to Mr. NixonNow: Do you think the 25 post law that was enacted by the 5th senate, but not put in force this election is sufficent, or do you want to also curtail the voting rights of those who are active elsewhere in Atlasia, but decline to visit the fantasy boards except to vote?

I support keeping the activity laws that are currently in place.  I also support candidates not PMing inactive voters, but there is little that can be done legally about this.  I oppose the avatar requirements, because with an up-to-date registration list, it is easy to check what state voters are from instead of throwing out their ballots on a technicality.  I see no need to make the ballots secret and feel that it leads to more opportunity for fraud, so I would oppose that also.

Follow up to Blerpiez:So, if your ideas were adapted, Zebulon Vance's (StatesRights) vote would have counted?

Question to both candidates: What is your opinion on changes to the income tax structure?

Yes, I think that Zebulon Vance's vote should have counted.

With regards to the income tax, I believe that the taxes should be raised for the highest percentiles, those making over $150-200 thousand.  I favor keeping the Bush tax cuts for those with lower incomes and keeping the progressive tax structure in place.

Question to both candidates: What, if any, bills will you propose in the senate?

I hope to look at what causes hurt feelings and general anger after elections and then pass voting reforms to stop some of these causes and keep people from leaving.  Also, I hope to get a real criminal law system enacted.

Follow up to Blerpiez: What would the specifics of the criminal system be?

There would be clearly defined crimes(trolling, theft, assault, etc.)  There would be sentencing guidelines that would also be determined by the senate.  Punishments can include loss of voting rights, office holding rights, and being thrown out of office.

Question to both: Why are you better suited for this office than your opponent?
