obama, easily.

he has been the most pro gun president in modern american history.

look at how much he has cut social safety net programs.

wait until the new farm bill is passed, he will sign a still yet to be determined devastating cut to the food stamp program.

and just imagine the concessions he will give the republicans during the upcoming debt ceiling 'crisis'

At least he doesn't want to privatize them.

Voted for the option that considered George W. Bush to be a good president.

yes december 2012 was the date of the newtown shooting.  and for a couple of weeks afterwards obama made a couple of flowery (and insincere) speeches about gun control.

whatever came of that?

He ran into a House controlled by the George W. Bush party?

Walter Mitty's making me actually like Obama. Might have to become an Obamacon if the left is ever represented by Walter's type.

Walter is more right wing but Obama is hardly the poster child for lefties.  And Bush was liberal in many ways.

Hasn't Obama, especially since re-election, proven himself to be pretty much to the right of everyone here regardless of age? Well, excepting one or two. Wink WalterMitty seems fairly anti-labor, but so what. The middle in Atlasia is the left-left in RL, unfortunately.

Anyone that is for action in Syria is now considered a right-wing hawk?  Really?  Most of the opposition (myself included) to an attack on Syria has everything to do with Americans being exasperated with U.S. involvement in Middle Eastern conflicts.  Had this crisis in Syria occurred in 1999, the position that we should attack Syria for using chemical weapons against their own people would have undoubtedly been considered a moralistic, LEFT-WING position.

I might differ with some of my fellow Democrats on this issue at this time, but to call them right-wing hawks is simply unfair.

And Walter's lack of support for unions makes him inherently, vastly more right-wing than Obama.
