Remember how Walt was a George Zimmerman supporter even before it was cool for Republicans to support him?

The Trayvon Martin incident was tailor-made for someone like Walt, who supports a complete handgun ban and is so sympathetic to the plight of blacks that he supports straight up race-based affirmative action.   But since lots of others got fired up, his contrarian streak outshone ideological consistency.

i dont think i ever was a george zimmerman defender.  i simply said that i dont think trayvon was some innocent kid out for a bag of skittles.  i still dont believe that.
