Go Fox! Smiley  I watch O'Reilly everynight.  I never watch CNN, MSNBC, *BC any more.  FNC is where it is at!

I wish Murdoch would launch a Fox World News channel of sort, so that CNN International can also tank.

Yay! Go spread of ignorance!

Technically 'Fox News International' already exists because Fox would have you believe there is nothing at all outside our borders, and therefore the US is already the world.

No, Fox News International is technically Sky News, but it is far too liberal.

Good for Fox News. Here is a news station that debut in 95-96 and in 10 years it's just crushing CNN in the ratings

You have to give Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes credit for tapping into a unknown market---middle American (that sea of red) and making it successful.

Lots of channels on the liberal edge. However, FOX is the only major supporter of militant theocracy, so it sort of has a monopoly.

You have to give Ailes credit for exploiting the baser instincts of the populace and realizing how badly things have to be dumbed down to maximize profit, as well as being an ideological nutjob set out to shape American minds exactly as he wants them in a rather manipulative and totalitarian fashion (however willingly they go along with it).

In 1985 Roger Ailes said, if you have two presidential candidates in a debate and one presents a plan to solve the problems of the middle east and the other one falls off the stage, the one who falls of the stage will be the one to make the evening news. Needless to say his business acumen is prophetic. Congratulations Roger.

Not suprising.  FNC has tapped into the market by using a three step plan.

1) Conservative slant to appeal to red state/middle america

2) Good looking news anchors. If you're going to hear about a bombing in Iraq, might as well hear it from Laurie Dhue or Dari Alexander.

3) Relentless repetition of the phrase "fair and balanced". Over time, you begin to believe it and you become a viewer for life.

Laurie Dhue has the most annoying voice of any news anchor I've ever heard.

I admit I used to get some pleasure out of watching THE O'REILLY FACTOR, and I do sort of like O'Reilly.  I absolutely cannot stand HANNITY AND COLMES, however.  Sean Hannity the conservative is what opebo is to the liberals.  (I believe that says enough.)

Fox News is horrible. I hate that channel; it's so dumbed down. It irritates the hell out of me whenever I watch it. But, I'm not a big fan of news channels in general.
