I wouldn't reach across the aisle. I would do everything in my power to frustrate their plans and use every semi-legal avenue and constitutionally questionable avenue possible to put the kibosh on whatever designs they have for the country. There can be no compromise with Grand Old Plutocrats.

I could see myself doing a public option instead of full universal health care, but that's about it - otherwise I'd only compromise if the life of the nation was on the line.

I would be willing to compromise whenever I can get progress to what I view as a worthy goal by also passing something I don't really want.

A better question to ask is: What would I not compromise on?

The answers:
Civil liberties/due process
War

Can't think of anything else at the moment.

That's a good way to put it actually. I wouldn't compromise on taxes, guns, abortion, term limits, balancing the budget, school vouchers, or most constitutional amendments.

Yeah, we could use a president like that!
