Now I am, though it's the 25 minute Quicksilver Messenger Service version I'm hearing.

I don't put anyone on ignore, and though I did disable sigs for awhile, I reversed that because many put great effort into their sigs.  Doesn't mean I read all your posts, and  I wish I hadn't read many, and it certainly doesn't mean your sig isn't annoying because it is (except for good ol' fashioned T&A Grumps), but I just don't much care for the whole concept of "ignoring".

You're missing out. ag has one of the best quality:quantity ratios of posts on the forum. I mean just read this thread and say he's not a quality poster and an invaluable resource.

I put him and another mod on ignore about a week apart, maybe 3 months ago.  I forget the specific straw that broke the back, but I believe it was the constant dickishness.  That's the only reason I'd put a mod on ignore (maybe for an excessively large sig too...but I doubt a mod would do that). 

If he only made posts like the ones you linked to, he wouldn't be there.



I've strongly considered putting all the "updaters" on ignore too a few times, but as of yet I haven't.  I still hold out hope that a couple of them will see how freaking retarded they are being over it.

I broke my ironclad rule to never put anyone on ignore when I just happened to be reading Atlas at a public cafe during the two hours that Jan Valentine's porno spam hadn't been flushed out of the system.  Had no choice.

I still have never ignored an actual poster, no matter how trollish or hackish or wrong or mean.  And I never will.  I don't think it's a good idea to wall yourself off from people and perspectives you don't like; and it's an even worse idea to brag about it.  Just scroll past if it's that much of a problem; but really it's best to try and listen to everyone.

I once had BenKenobi, but it got impractical while both of us were in the IDS Legislature. Haven't seen him since I left Atlasia so I didn't have to put him back there.

I also once had DC Al Fine there, but I quickly realised it was just over something of an irreconcilable disagreement on something in Canadian politics, but elsewhere I always showed his posts and often agreed, so he got out.

Didn't put barfbag, though I strongly considered doing so, because he has his moments.
