There are maybe three people who are always about an inch from my ignore button, because they are pedantic, stilted, and frequently annoying, but it's an online forum, so no matter if on occasion I want to gag, I'm still curious - and I'm either amused by them or I actually learn something.

I also know who writes interesting stuff and who doesn't, so I go more off that.

backtored is getting really, really close to the list for his persistent hackishness.  His posts don't teach me anything.  He only contributes when something political out of Colorado gets in the news so he can assert his ignorance of his own state and laugh at liberals.  He makes no effort to be a part of the community.  In fact, the only reason I don't have him on ignore is so I can mock him after he gets more predictions for his own state wrong.
