AH.com had a few threads like this in the past, so I thought I could start something similar on Atlas.

FTR, Vietnam in a situation where aggressive war was completely justified.

Vietnam in retrospect, although I imagine at the time I would have been on the Cambodian side just to stuff Vietnam.

Pretty sure the side that opposes Pol Pot's nightmarish "state" is in the right.

Ah, cold war geopolitics. There has rarely been a better example of how silly it all was than this... the US and China backing Cambodia simply because of who bordered whom. Sadly, Asia today is still dominated by this kind of thinking, which Europe smartly jettisoned 65 years ago.

Vietnam, considering that this is the conflict that got rid of the Khmer Rouge, one of the most frightening regimes in history.

Exhibit number one on how US foreign policy is flawed.

Vietnam, but I can understand those who would say Cambodia because of international geopolitics; this is a very extreme case.

Vietnam. Supporting the Pol Pot regime is not justifyable by any means. (Supporting Pol Pot and stating he's some kind of essence of communism, is even less, of course.)
