The writing is on the wall.

As much as the forum's contingent of naive and uneducated blue avatars masses would like to believe otherwise, the future belongs to the Democrats.  Despite election loss after election loss and being in a permanent minority status, Republicans continue to lie to themselves, just like they do on basic science.  Republicans will never win another election ever again, because voting trends are set in stone.  2014 will see a net gain of Democratic House and Senate seats and in 2016 the Democrats will win a filibuster proof Senate and over 270 House Seats when Hillary Clinton wins a massive 450 vote landslide.

So cry home to mama all you blue avatars.  Nobody wants to be your friend anyone.  By this time next decade you will be lucky to be competitive in Oklahoma when the GOP starts debating which day Adam and Eve rested.  People everywhere are seeing that Barack OBama is the greatest president in a generation and has brought back true liberalism to America.  So stop hiding behind corporatist hopes and dreams and put down that cigarette before you die of lung cancer, you shills.

WHy don't you just go ahead and concede the race?  That's what I would do at least if Ted Cruz was in my party.

I want to believe that. However, about 8 years ago...well at least up until 7 years and 11 months ago (Katrina Reference), many blue avatars kept saying that the Democratic party would only really dispute two more elections because Democratic politicians and strategists were boring and incompetent and that the Democrats were going through a baby bust while the rest of the country was going through a religious revival. As the only children being born were raised in religious homes, there would be from here on out Republican and more Republican.

All the way up to September of 2006, Republicans thought they would lose no more than two or three senate seats and 8 or 10 in the house. That was a result that I would have been happy with that spring and thought we would have a fighting chance in 2008 if that election was just about Iraq, the 1% and abortion.

This.  The GOP's not dead yet, but if they continue on the current path, they will be.

I assume OP is being sarcastic, no?

Either way, he brings up a good point. The two party system in the US has been insanely durable- it's a stretch to project the death of the GOP.

The Republican Party as we know it, on the other hand....

Yeah, lets make the US a one party country and turn it into a dictatorship.  If that happens, I denounce my citizenship and move to another country.

Obviously this is sarcasm, I bolded the most ridiculous parts. But are you trying to make fun of conservatives who take this seriously or liberals who actually believe this?

You seem to be one of those people.  But hey, maybe the GOP will win 85% of the white vote in 2024!!

No they won't the white vote ever by that much. The GOP won the overall white vote by 21 points(60-39) in 2012 but they only won the age 18-29 group of white voters by a 7 point margin(50-43%.)

True, I think they do way too much pandering to the Hannity and Coulter's and those 2 have no clue about the current demography of the country at all it seems and where its headed. Plus I wouldn't listen to Hannity that much or put much stock into what he is saying in the future direction of the GOP. His ratings on FOX have dropped so bad that they are moving him to the 10pm time slot.

You should see all the guests Hannity invites, from Tamara Holder to Bob Beckel. Every time Tamara goes on there with that loud mouthed guy, makes anyone want to turn off the TV. Secondly, talking about dirty air and water is annoying and old, it's not 2009 anymore.

Nice trolling.

But seriously, the GOP does have some serious problems upcoming. But I imagine they'll reform and make themselves more palatable to the general public.

First off, you seem to be pretty confident in predicting what people want.  I mean, you think a poster who is practically a socialist wants the GOP to win that much of the white vote?  Or any vote really?
There's this thing, I'm not sure if you heard of it, but this website uses it as a monkier.  It's something called "the Political Compass."  If you look at it under the name of a poster it will show you their economic and social ratings.  I'm almost a negative five on economics and I'm practically a godless heathen on my social score.

But of course, it's all a masquerade.  I'm really just a full on white nationalist racist tea bagger who wanks off to the thought of the GOP winning 70 Senate seats in 2014 and not someone who just wants people to be rational in their debating instead of assholish hacks who come in here and bash well meaning people who analyze elections.

They just have to learn how to campaign in places like Virginia. If Democrats are going to bring Missouri back, they'll have to adjust to changes or go elsewhere and the same goes for Republicans in Virginia.

The country been through economic trauma and public trust Dems more because of Wallstreet. I would imagine the GOP party as durable and getting through this as well. Bain Capital exacerbated the GOP problem.

Can I do a thread on the death of the Democratic Party? It would make as much sense after all Republicans control most governorships and the U.S. House. We're in a better spot than Democrats were in 2004 and look at things now. Stop trolling please. Don't you all think this is partisan to even ask about?

The GOP could have had both houses of Congress heading into 2016 which would have been favorable to them with the prez at stake adding onto theirHouse majority. Now with marginal gains in Senate and no pickups in House, less favorable in next prez yr.

No the GOP aren't at a better spot right now than the Dems were in 2004 . I wish. Kerry would have been president if only had he won Ohio.

Mark Warner who is a great senator and would of made a good prez w/out Obama should of never turned down Kerry's request on being VP slot.

I really think that one day you are going to post a thread in each board topic that will simply include a Rick-roll video followed by "HAHAHA I was elaborate flame this whole time and you idiots took me seriously."  Although, I also don't have a lot of interaction with dumb people so this might never happen.
