I'm reintroducing this one, too:

Amendment to the Statute of Election Procedures, Certification and Challenges

§ 1. The text, "the last federal election in which he or she voted," is hereby stricken from the Statute of Election Procedures, Certification and Challenges.

§ 2. It shall be replaced with the text, "the last federal election in which he or she was eligible to vote."

I hereby open debate on this bill.

I'd like "had a chance to vote" changed to "was eligible to vote". The current wording allows for interpretations not in the spirit of the legislation, I feel.

Good point, I'll change that.

This closes up that major loophole in the current election law that favours people who vote less often. This will close that loophole and make it fair to all Atlasians. I am strongly supportive of this bill.

Voting on this bill is now open.

All senators in favor, vote "aye"; all senators against, vote "nay".

Aye.
