I've never been to a lot of these areas, but here are my guesses of what a lot would say:

Western Boise suburbs (including Canyon county)
West Side of Bakersfield and the exurban Bakersfield in general
Northern El Paso County Colorado
white areas of the SW Atlanta suburbs
Far western Harris County (like practically near the Waller County line)

Not sure about the country in general, but some of far west Ohio, Darke, Auglaize county etc. could be deemed this. Also Holmes county if you count the Amish.

Some more examples:
-Southern Denver suburbs/exurbs (specifically southern Douglas County and Elbert County).
-Western Phoenix suburbs (basically Trent Franks' district).
-Suburban/exurban Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
-Northern Twin Cities exurbs in Minnesota (i.e. Michele Bachmann's hometurf).
-The predominantly-white Birmingham suburbs.
-Southern and Eastern Memphis suburbs (Desoto County, Mississippi, and far-eastern Shelby County, Tennessee, respectively).
-Western and northern Milwaukee suburbs.
-Suburban Utah County.

Exurban Atlanta beats all of these, methinks.

are those WELS strongholds? (BTW I think you mean western Milwaukee, since eastern is Lake Michigan)

also suburban Utah county is conservative but not fundie. Its mormon.

Not fundamentalist Christian obviously, but the mini Mormon Saudi Arabia known as Colorado City, Arizona probably beats all the others.

I don't know if Colorado City/Hildale counts.  Unless you're saying it's an exurb of St. George?  That's kind of a stretch.  I feel like Colorado City is basically a town in the middle of nowhere as opposed to an exurb.

Yes, I did mean western. My mistake. What are WELS, though?

Utah County certainly does stand out as the most socon county in the state, though. It certainly could compete with some of the evangelical suburban communities further east.

Bachmann's district is not mostly "fundie", in fact by the ARDA measure it includes some of the least religious counties in Minnesota (yes that's misleading.) It's simply full of many low information straight ticket GOP voters and enough fundies to dominate the nomination process. Angry white gun owners who don't benefit as much from government infrastructure and programs as people in the urban cities and inner suburbs. Most of the churches in that area are either Catholic or really traditional and not as liberal as most mainline Protestant. I'm sure plenty of people commute to the megachurches in the middle ring suburbs (like Living Word where Bachmann spoke at in 2006 and threatened the tax exempt status), but that's still a minority of the population.

Bachmann's district does not have many WELS (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod) and there are no WELS strongholds anywhere in Minnesota. Only one county has a WELS plurality per ARDA (Can't remember which, it's one of the rural ones in the southeast) and then it's only about 15% WELS with the rest very split.

Southern Campbell County. I know this from experience. (Northern Campbell County actually isn't that bad.)

Milwaukee's western suburbs do have a fairly large evangelical presence ( Elmbrook Church, for example). I once met some people from Brookfield who exclaimed, "but you're not black!!" after I told them I live in the actual city of Milwaukee. Creepy.

Mostly Sun Belt exurbs. Those have the highest critical mass for this kind of thing.

Everything between Madison and Milwaukee is mostly populated by white people who fled their old neighborhood when a black family moved in down the street.

For me it's probably Forsyth County. GA. Over 80% for Romney. It creeps me out because it's so cookie cutter and plastic and there's this conservative group think that forces everybody in line. In 20 years it went from Appalachian KKK enclave to Stepford wives.

Among places outside of the Sunbelt, suburban Indianapolis might be a contender.

I thought the Indianapolis suburbs, while very partisan, are more Lugar type republican. Those are the only areas he won in 2012 primary

Numero uno for non-Sunbelt exurbs would be the Circle of Ignorance you'd think.

I had heard of it, but I didn't know anyone actually lived there. I just thought it was just some creepy corporate idea that never got off the ground.

Campbell is probably much worse if you just count the southern half. Obama won Newport, Bellevue, Dayton, Woodlawn, Silver Grove, and possibly Highland Heights, yet Romney still managed to win the county by 23%. How Republican does the southern half have to be for that to happen?

I think Republicans in Oldham County might be a little more like the GOP of 30 years ago. They have money, but I think some of them are a little more wary of the Tea Party.

Campbell County also has that crazy school system.

I'm guessing you live in Campbell County? I can tell you Obama definitely didn't win Highland Heights and most likely didn't win Woodlawn or Silver Grove. Some precincts in Southern Campbell County went >70% McCain (and probably >70% Romney). They are much less of the population, HOWEVER they have much higher turnout than the urban northern part of the county. Here is a shot of 2008 results in the three Cincinnati suburb counties using Dave's app.

Great R/D = 65%+
Good R/D = 57-65%
Fair R/D = 51%-57%
Even = 49-51 Either way

I would think Boone County would be worse for you, basing off the results. You seem to act like Campbell County is a nightmare. It would be funny if you lived in some of the super republican areas downstate near London or Somerset.
