Even if it hadn't been five years, I don't even think we got that in depth in my criminology class back High School. It was fun, free and I had already taken the other part through random class assignment bs the previous year. Roll Eyes Shame the college credit doesn't apply to any degrees I would be interested in though anyway...

Badger might know.

If not, I propose a 30% tax Rate on all newly legalized drugs.

I would be fine with that.

I might be willing to change it if it will make the difference to get it to a Presidential Redraft.

Aye, working on the assumption that there will be a redraft.

If there is a redraft, I hope that these drugs are still kept decriminalized. The drug war needs to end. You guys don't want to fully legalize it, fine. But we should not have government agents invading people's homes to "protect" them from themselves.

Changing my vote to Aye

This has enough votes to pass, Senators have 24 hours to change their votes.

I know, we do need some kind of change. I have confidence that Nix will produce something acceptable.

Agreed. At the very least decriminalization of hard drugs is something that needs to happen. If nothing is done in the redraft with regard to hard drugs, I will have to ask the Senate to vote it down. I want legalization, but am willing to accept decriminalization; nothing less than that.

I implore the President, if he decides to redraft the bill, to at the very least decriminalize hard drugs. Not moving decisively, be it toward legalization or full decriminalization for this substances, would entirely gut the purpose of this bill.
