I haven't seen an official NJ-Gov thread, so I thought I'd start one even though it's pretty late in the game.  I also wanted a place to post this:

Gov. Christie: Implementing Same-Sex Marriage Now Will Cause ‘Irreparable Harm’ To New Jersey

So yeah.  Feel free to post more updates if they're newsworthy.

Debate was tonight. Here's one for you: Christie was supposedly very kind while Buono was just awful, rude (interrupting) and constantly attacking him. I didn't get to watch yet.

Based on what I saw Christie looked like a jackass, but then again that isn't news.

New Jerseyans elected the guy and will reelect him again, so they seem to like this confrontational attitude.

If I was governor, I'd also be confrontational as well.

Thanks for giving us your opinion on something you hadn't seen. Appreciated.

And how ironic is it that America's governor became so beloved for being a fighter and an instigator, and now he's a gentle and kind teddy bear who needs to be protected from the mean old woman?

I didn't see it, but honestly, I feel like any time a politician is down as much as she is but still fighting, this is exactly what they do in a debate.

Well I agree but right after Christie praised Buono's public service Buono attacked him for praising her on that. She went over the line with that.

Anyone else thinking of county predictions for this election? A Tom Kean '85 repeat would be incredible; I really doubt that'll be the case. But I think every county except Hudson, Essex, Camden, and Mercer is within the realm of possibility for Christie. Also see >70% for Christie as a distinct possibility in Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Ocean, and maybe Morris.

^^
I couldn't hear what the heckler was saying.

I kind of feel bad for Buono because she seems like a nice lady and she's losing so badly, but she has really been awful in the debates.  She has not actually campaigned on any ideas but just made constant nasty, somewhat personal attacks on Christie.

Hahahaha.

Everything about the fat man is a ruse. Still, Buono volunteered to a hopeless situation in facing him and her clumsy tactics reflect that.

Christie continues his roll. Brand-new Quinnipiac poll:

62-33 Christie (nc, nc compared with previous week)

Gov. Christie leads 66 - 29 percent among men and 57 - 37 percent among women, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds. White voters back Christie 67 - 29 percent while black voters back Buono 60 - 30 percent. Christie leads 92 - 6 percent among Republicans and 71 - 23 percent among independent voters, while Democrats back Buono 66 - 30 percent.
