Congratulations on your newborn son, Mr. and Mrs. [lastname]!  We can begin the circumcision as soon as you fill out the forms.

Virtually impossible to occur in any country today besides Israel and predominately Muslim ones and thus kind of a moot point.

Am I a Moderate Hero for probably not having a son circumcized but still finding vocally anti-circucision people excessively hyperbolic and annoying? I've actually been attacked just for saying that I personally don't give a sh!t that I've been circumcized and it doesn't bother me one iota.

Politely thank him, but tell him I don't want the child circumcized (and hope my partner and the birth-mother agree with me).

I'm completely in line with BRTD on this one....except I've had sons and they did get snipped.

Well, given that a) "like father, like son", and b) the birth mother would be Jewish (albeit non-practicing), I'm pretty sure I'd just go along with it.

No, man, you've simply got your priorities right.

Probably the same way the we acted 8 years ago when my son was born...

By the way, it isn't a physician who comes in and "congrats, mr. and mrs. lastname..."  It's actually a nurse who comes in and says, "have y'all thought about whether y'all want to, um, have the boy circumsized?  Or if y'all have, like, a religious need for it and have yer own Doctor, or we do also have a Jewish Doctor on call.  Or if y'all don't want it or whatever, just let us know.  I can come back after y'all have discussed it or whatever."

Nor am I interested in potentially degrading his future sexual pleasure either.
