The ORF now says turnout will be 82.4% (+2% compared with 2009).

Also lol @ NEOS outperforming most of our predictions yet still not reaching the threshold in the exit poll.

The results so far are very mixed for NEOS: They are doing well in the urban Linz-Wels agglomeration, but they suck in the countryside. It likely won't be enough for them to break the 4% threshold statewide.

The prediction will change quite often in the coming hours, as more cities are counted.

It will also become more and more accurate, as the margin of error goes down.

Somehow I think it's ironic for Austrians to want Germany to annex (parts of) Austria because of sentiments against the far-right Tongue

The Innviertel looks like it's voting 85% for the Right today (40% FPÖ, 40% ÖVP, 5% NEOS) and 15% for the Left (10% SPÖ, 5% Greens).

Well, it would mean that Hitler was born in (modern) Germany. They could then write him off as a Bavarian.

New prognosis (16:40):

ÖVP 36,2 % (-10.5)
SPÖ 17,9 % (-7,1)
FPÖ 31,2 % (+15.9)
GRÜNE 10,2 % (+1.0)
NEOS 3,6 % (new)
CPÖ 0,3 %
KPÖ 0,6 %

22.5% counted. FPÖ somewhat down, ÖVP somewhat up, but all within extremely small margins. However, in the seat prediction, ÖVP-Greens now has 28 instead of 27.

Bavaria should annex it Putin-style.

Out of curiousity, does this region have more in common with Bavaria than Austria? In terms of dialect, customs and traditions?

BTW, Bavaria has always been more Austrian-like than German-like IMHO. I think. Smiley

I am seriously annoyed by Austria not being on Google Streetview at moments like this. Always love to look up these places and see what they look like, which is quite predictable but also entertaining.

Haha yeah, these names are extremely LOL. It's near Braunau (not a surprise Tongue) and not near Ried, so I assume it's in Braunau district as well, though I don't know where I could find this.

I actually drove through that town once, on my way to Passau.

There are only a couple cows and cornfields. Not much to see.
