Seats according to the latest Infratest Dimap projection:

CDU: 23 seats (+4)
SPD: 18 seats (+1)
Linke: 7 seats (-2)
AfD: 3 seats (+3)

One more and Red-Red would have a theoretical majority. I wouldn't go for it but would be important for the negotiating position of the SPD with the CDU.

Wouldn't that be bad for the SDP because of the upcoming General election? I thought I read that Linke is still associated with Communism?

Okay. Thanks for the clarification they sound like a normal left wing European party and not some old communist one.

Why is the fdp still doing terribly? I know they got the junior coalition treatment in 2013 but they still seem to be down there now. What made them so toxic?

I did not expect an AFD resurgence. What happened? It doesn't look like cdu voters are going to them. Are there a bunch of SPD AFD swing voters? It doesn't look like the left is getting the same bump

Thanks. It looks like Germany will have all the major modern positions represented in the budestag. The far right, moderate conservatives, liberal-libertarians, social democrats, environmental left and far left all will make it. I'm opposed to the extreme parties but it is good to see some genuine diversity and competiveness. At least compared to the US. I maintain my belief that the German system is the best legislative one in the world.

Have Die Linke ran a generally good campaign?

Can a party running as a joke run a good or bad campaign?

How are they running as a joke?

They are a parody party by definition

They aren't though?

You may be confusing them with Die PARTEI.

I'm a complete idiot I'm sorry.
