Two days.

The Election of 1816 left a nation deeply divided. While New England conservatives had cast their ballots for Adams, and the Southern gentry and Western fronteirsmen had supported Jackson, Clinton had gained a plurality with a strange coalition combining the moderates in both parties, his own Fusion base, as well as the growing middle of the country. Nevertheless, Clinton lacks a majority of electoral votes and thus the election goes to the House of Representatives. As it stands, all three candidates are still in the running. However, John Marshall has gained a majority of the Vice Presidential vote and, should the House fail utterly in electing a President, it is speculated that he may ascend to the throne on March 4th, 1817.

First round. The last place finisher gets wiped out if a majority is not reached.

Clinton, since he might have the slightly better chance of defeating Jackson.

Jackson. Although I would actually prefer Adams over Clinton.

For an idea of where we are, map-wise, since the thread to my knowledge was deleted. Below are very basic prototypes of 1808-1816.

I found the thread yesterday when I discovered the new series.  I'd go back and look again, but unfortunately just leaving for my day at the moment.  I assure you, it's there though.

So it does exist. Thank you for that. After failing to find it in the board, I probed the list of my own posts and found nothing. Tongue

One of the first things I did yesterday after discovering this was look for the thread.  I started out going through your profile, but found it easier to just do ctrl+f "Feud" and scanned the pages, finding it back on 4 or so.
