Its Nov. 1972, Wallace is healthy and Elvis is his runningmate, and they are the Democratic nominees against Nixon/Agnew... who would win, what do you think a map looks like.

George Wallace, so we can hire a crackpot to shoot the president and VP Presley becomes President.  He'd be the first King and President simultaneously.

Wait, second thought, Elvis was fat back then, and kind of a Vegas act/nostagic.  He really let go.  Screw that.  Young Elvis has my vote, but not '72 Elvis

This is an race in which I would have defected to the Republican Party.  Nixon would have been the lesser of two evils, and that's saying a lot.

A long time ago I made up a scenario where Wallace had John Wayne as his running mate.  Wayne and Elvis were two Wallace supporters.  I dont know the depth of their support, but both liked Wallace.

I'd vote for Wallace assuming there is no third party candidate.  I'm willing to bet that had Wallace ever been elected president he would have renounced his segregationist beliefs ala Jimmy Carter... instead of waiting till the 1980s.

I agree with this. Plus his policies would not have been logical or really sellable at a national level at this time period.
