Long story short, the waiting times for processing of claims for veteran's support is unforgivably long. Keep in mind, this not from application to receipt of payments, healthcare access etc, this is up to two years to get a yes or no.

We need to increase manpower to get the backlog managed as well as work faster to an almost entirely electronic system of application and processing, much along the lines of the income tax software. Those systems have reduced processing times by more than half and at the same time been as effective as people in checking for irregularities.

The costs were estimates, but I'm sure a more thorough check could give a clearer answer.

We were waiting for an updated analysis from the new GM, but apparently he is not going to take office until Thursday or Friday, unfortunately. So probably so.

What does everyone else think about the matter?

I am told this has the President's support and am pretty sure it will pass as is even if it isn't perfect we can amend it later.

I invite Senator Napoleon to make his statements as soon as possible.
