It would be hilarious if Cooper's lead is higher than 10,000, avoiding a recount.

NC BOE's twitter said 70% of the counties or 70 out of 100 is done with it by now; the big counties like Forsyth, Guilford, Wake, and Mecklenburg's still out and got a while the way it look.

If it's true that what's predominately left is from the big Democratic counties, this could go over the 10,000 vote recount line.

McCrory is, hands down, one of the saddest incumbent candidates I've seen in my life.

It looks like per NCSBE Cooper leads McCrory now by about 9700 Votes. Forsyth is still out.

Ugh, yeah. There are 13 counties that still need to canvass, but several are larger.

He needs a couple hundred more votes to avoid a recount fiasco.

McCrory allies are suing NC's (Republican) Board of Election. Board of Elections hired attorneys to defend itself. McCrory blocked the hires

He's going to show up to Cooper's inauguration to try and steal the swearing in bible, I just know it.

Hmmm, we should all respect the will of the minority of voters in the presidential election, but now that they've voted out McCrory, now we have to get the legislature involved to override the election results.

McCrory has wanted to be a two term governor his entire life. He ran in 2008 to get to this point, but lost. Even if McCrory loses, he may run again in 2020 or be a lobbyist. North Carolina faces a rough 4 years, because Cooper will be one of the GOP's biggest targets in 2020.

he is such a despicable man....

since NC seems to be one of the most vote-suppressed states of the wholy country i see ousting him as a central win for minority rights.

They couldn't have waited for the new governor, supreme court justice to be seated? They have just given them more incenentice to court pack.

Great, but Schumer needs to come out and state unequivocally that no Trump SCOTUS nominee will be getting cloture before 12/2017 1/2021.

Fixed.
