Yeah, for now it does. But if this is the start of him suddenly becoming consistently effective and bipartisan, then it's not. That's not likely, given that the last thing I remember him being in the news for was that "you shouldn't have to wash your hands" comment over a year ago. But we'll have to wait and see.

we are nearly done.

GOP-majority on board of election rejects McCrory's complaints about Blade County too

and the absentee ballots challenged by McCrory's campaign are going to be counted too.

So do these recounts look at all offices or just the one that called for the recount. Basically, is this having any sort of effect on the results of the presidential race (even if that effect is a small handfull of ballots)?

Also, how does one lose a vote in a recount?

My understanding is only the race in question

I'm disappointed by the results, but a major thank you goes to Governor McCrory for never stopping to fight for conservative values when it would have been so easy to cave into the pressure of the left!

Locked out of power for decades, then when they got it they decided to never ever lose it again.

Good riddance.

Well at least he was kind of decent in the concession and decided to be respectful; that's a +.

So excited to see what Roy can do.

Good riddance! Finally some good news from this election cycle.

No, he and the state legislature fought to undermine local autonomy out of pure partisan spite.

Swing State Republican Parties, for some reason, embrace the most radical elements of conservatism - I mean there are more moderate Republican leaders in the Dakotas (Hoeven, the Microsoft guy), Tennessee (Alexander, Haslam), South Carolina (Haley), Mississippi (Cochran), and even Georgia where Nathan Deal vetoes the occasional insane bill.
