Will Anthony Foxx run for governor or for senate or neither according to you Miles?

Cooper is already the best possible candidate and will have years worth of fundraising ahead of any other challenger. No way any high-profile NC Dem runs for Governor and not Senate.

Even if they changed the qualifier to "Most vunerable governor", the only one that might be more competitive than North Carolina is Montana (Bullock seems pretty tough) and maybe New Hampshire.

Worth noting: Cooper is only getting 59% of blacks in this poll.

A court packing scheme might make that all irrelevant. Considering how hysterically hackish the NC GOP is, they will probably go along with it.
Sad

Hackish is one thing. If the NC GOP expands the courts, or throws the election to the Assembly over "voter fraud", then they'll have become completely despotical.

So is it still possible for McCrory to win?

The possibility is that McCrory keeps claiming that the election was rigged (But not the Senate race I guess?), and eventually the legislature will claim that since the election is fraudulent, they will pick the winner.

And I don't care how hackish you are, if you cheer that possibilty then you are a beyond a hack. You are a f**king fascist. Willing to overturn democracy if it means "Our Guy" remains in power.

What evidence is there of these fraudulent ballots?

McCrory has pointed to large amounts of ballots that have the same witness signature. But that's something that's not uncommon with people targeted by GOTV measures.

Whoever wins from this bitter election, McCrory or Cooper, will lead a very divided North Carolina. Just like Trump and America. Cooper should not run for reelection in 2020 if he wins and let a new Democrat run.

So it doesn't matter if Cooper proves to be a popular governor?

Also, should every candidate who wins by a close margin decline to run again? Should Trump? Or just the candidates you don't like?

How do we have a functioning democracy when one of the two main political parties disdains democracy, and doesn't even try to hide it anymore?
But there are, nationally, Democratic protesters refusing to accept the results, chanting: "Not my President!"

Instead, it's the Republicans here chanting: "Not my Governor!"

Those Democratic protesters aren't f**king public office holders. Stop this false equivalency BS.

Tillis says he will not run for re-election in 2020, IF he cannot get his bipartisan Criminal Justice Reform bill passed.

Finally! What is it about the NC GOP that makes them so hackish compared to their neighboring states??

Locked out of power for decades, then when they got it they decided to never ever lose it again.
