Okay, lets say Wallace gets the democratic nomination and McCarthy leading the liberal faction walks out in protest. McCarthy and his delegation form their own party, the New Party and nominate Eugene McCarthy for President and George McGovern for Vice President. Meanwhile Nelson Rockefeller seizes the GOP nomination and choses governor George Romney as his running mate. Wallace has chosen George Smathers as his VP.

How does the map look!?.

The question is, how would the future parties devolop under this scenario?. And future election maps?. I think the New Party becomes the new leftist party, Republicans become centrists and Democrats populist/southern party and a new right-wing conservative party forms lead by Reagan and Conservative Republicans.
