Wallace runs a populist campaign, running as he did IRL pro-labor/economic progressive, socially conservative, and on states rights. This wins him the support of many working class democrats. Mathias, a liberal republican wins the support of traditional liberal voters in the northeast.

Not sure about D.C, its so partisan I think Wallace would proabably win it actually...
