I was actually thinking about designing a new flag that meets the standards of our flag regulations law, but I can't understand those standards at all.  I am offering an amendment:

You don't like golden fringe on our flags? Tongue

I don't really have a preference for which design is used; practically anything is better than the current one.

Well, I didn't think it was a priority before, but since you mention it maybe the amendment should be something like this:

Of course not. At this point, we're legislating for the IDS as it is now and shouldn't think any other way.

I kind of like it, it shows our Southern uniqueness. We ain't gonna use those "regular" northern flag poles! Not to say I'm invested in it one way or the other.

Do we currently have a coat of arms?

Its hard for me to comment on these. My laptop's screen shows every color as either pink or green. I'll comment more tomorrow when I get on a screen that shows regular color.

But again, this is meant to be a coat of arms separate from the flag, correct? Is discussion of a coat of arms appropriate for this bill?

I'm interested to hear what Hash and Small L have to say. Their opinions matter just as much but we haven't heard from either for a while.

Friendly. I don't think its ideal, but its far better than the current flag.

Just to throw out a suggestion: do you think it might be a good idea to put whatever comes out to a vote? Its not usual procedure, but its the kind of thing people might care about and could coincide with the upcoming regional election.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the cloture votes at all. There is almost always a consensus to end debate anyway by the time a cloture vote is called.

As Emperor of the Imperial Dominion of the South I hereby sign this bill into law.

If nobody objects I'll include the referendum in the regional election this Friday.
