Mine:

Favourite:

1. Ted
2. The Dark Knight
3. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
4. Watchmen
5. Anchorman

Least Favourite:

1. Titanic (so overrated. yawn.)
2. Batman & Robin (1997) (no. just...just no.)
3. Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (dear god this film was garbage)
4. Prometheus (garbage film that tried to be an sfx spectacle and ended up being a parody of itself)
5. Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close (just no. So confusing and difficult to follow, had one of the most anti-climactic and unbelievably disappointing film endings i've ever seen)

Favourite:
1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Fargo
3. Life of Pi
4. Toy Story
5. Back to the Future

Least Favourite:
1. Inception
2. Return of the Jedi
3. Les Misérables
4. The Social Network

I just want to note that my least favourite movies aren't necessarily the worst movies I've ever seen, just some of the most frustrating ones. Sometimes it's because of the film itself and other times it's because of how crazy other people were over such a mediocre piece of cinema.

A movie about a stoner from Boston who watches cartoons and bad 80s TV and loves the Red Sox who hangs out with a teddy bear who also smokes weed

Yeah I wonder why that's my favourite movie

There's so many movies, let me think:

Top Five:

1. Unforgiven: The tone, mannnnnn.
2. Once Upon a Time In America: The tone, mannnnn.
3. The Deer Hunter: The tone, maannnnnnn.
4. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The tone, mannnnn.
5. Taxi Driver: The tone, man.  Also, I love how absolutely unhinged DeNiro is in this film.  I mean this guy is a nutcase!

This was pretty hard to do, for the record.

Bottom Five
Yes, even this is hard because I've seen so many bad ones.  Hell, this is actually pretty painful because I have to think back on all the horrible movies I've seen in 25 years and come up with the worst.  The great news though is that since I've seen literally thousands of movies, the bottom five will probably be crapfests universally hated by EVERYONE:

5. The American: Seemed like it would be such a good movie.  But alas, the most arousing thing about it was the Italian hooker's tits.
4. Nightmare on Elm Street 2: The Power of Love or some bullsh**t like that: None of the guilty pleasure or menace of the first or third films.  They almost killed Freddy Kruger in this film.
3. Epic Movie: Dude, shoot me.
2. Scary Movie: Responsible for atrocities like the previous movie getting in vogue.  Also, was stupider and more homophobic than a Fred Phelps sermon.
1. Total Recall (2012)Sad Why God?  Why?

If I did this post again tomorrow, I would probably come up with a different bottom five.  It's incredibly difficult to think of which movies you think are literally the worst movies you've ever seen when you've thought that same thing after dozens of them.

Top five:
1. Taxi Driver
2. The Shining
3. Blow Out
4. Pulp Fiction
5. Goodfellas

And there are too many dreadful bad movies for me to make a bottom five, but Titanic and Chicago are down there. Also, wow, a lot of these choices are depressing.

Favorite:

1. Eyes Wide Shut
2. GoodFellas
3. Coppola's version of Dracula (the final images are powerful)
4. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
5. Nixon
Honorable Mention: The Ninth Gate (I love old books, mysteries, and the power of suggestion)

Least:

Pretty much a pile of movies made after about 2000. Anything that is 1) over reliant on visual and computer effects and / or 2) anything with a wild, last minute plot twist that leaves you thinking, "What the hell?"

My favorites are the ones that I've rewatched the most and brought me the most joy, so they skew towards comedies and/or music.  I wouldn't necessarily say they're the the 5 best movies I've seen.  I also intend to cheat on "5"

1)Blazing Saddles--probably was my dad's favorite movie too, and they cut one of the best jokes ("Oh it's true, it's true"  "Baby, that's my arm")

2)Mighty Wind--Really didn't know any of the folk groups being parodied when I saw the movie, later when I saw video of some of the groups, it made the movie phenomenal.

3) Blue's Brothers/Animal House-- both with grand epic endings.    I think Blues Brothers was actually the most expensive movie made that year, just because of the car chase scene.

4)Unforgivien--can't laugh all the time.  Clint still gets to be the badass, but a more realistic version.

5)Coen Brothers marathon

5.1) Have a soft spot for the disaster movies of the 70s--Earthquake, Towering Inferno, Airport...
5.2) John Hughes and John Cusack teen movies of the 80s.  Drunk girls would tell me I looked like John Cusack--you figure it out.

Worst is harder, but again it's the movies that most disappointed me and I actually paid money for.

5)M. Night Sham's descent

4)King Ralph--established early on that John Goodman should not be the center of a movie.

3)Goldmember--way to destroy a fun franchise

2)Prometheus--Trailer had so much promise.  Wish it could be wiped from memory and the real Prometheus made.

1)Toys--An early 90s Robin Williams movie that wasn't funny and the "message" was just ham-handed.  Only movie I've ever walked out of.

I don't know.  Off the top of my head, maybe something like this for my favorites:

Brazil
Judgment at Nuremberg
Das Boot
The American Astronaut
Moon

Least favorites….probably some movies that I watched on MST3K.  The Wild World of Batwoman perhaps being the worst/best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruLzQObWBkA

Oh man I have to do honourable mentions:

Fever Pitch (go Sawx, eat it.)
Baseketball (not a particularly good movie as far as being remembered goes, but it's hilarious)
