I'm not advocating a change or anything, I'm just curious to see what others think.

Nothing lower than 13 is included in the poll options because Dave has to have the age requirement by law.

Realistically, 13 is about right. That's the age I got into politics, and kids are going to lie about their age no matter what (see: Yung Tweed)

Ideally, though, 16 would be a little better. But it's not like the kids that are running around are that bad to begin with.

Judging from my own forum experience, 15 sounds good. Or maybe 16.

You can start having some form of political substance by 15. Before that, not so much. So I guess 15.

And it's been quite a year for you, hasn't it?

I think this Forum is a good experience for kids actually. I suspect they learn a lot in a hurry, about how to interact with others, reasoning, vocabulary (thanks Torie!  Tongue), as well as the obvious political trivia stuff. Most when they depart as their life responsibilities get more pressing, will remember their experience here fondly and as of benefit to them.

Well, I was 14 for the entirety of my freshman year. Tongue

Personally, I tend to agree with Torie.
