Well, one of my great-grandfathers was born in Paragould, Ark., not far from the Ark./Mo. border, and a fave Prez of mine is from there also, but I dunno what to think of the state right now, exactly.

Other than Bill Clinton there isn't a lot of redeeming factors to make up for the racism and Bret Bielema. HS

Excellent state that is laid back and country oriented. I wish everyone could live as simple of a lifestyle as those in states like Arkansas. Reading Clinton's book, "My Life" portrayed it as greatly as I imagine it.

Red: bad

Basically.

If anything, Bill Clinton is one of the things that makes the state worse than it has to be. Freedom State nonetheless.

I remember in college driving from Memphis through the delta country in Arkansas headed to a blue highway that went through the Ozarks at the northern end of the state. It was the one place in the south where I saw huge cotton fields, with blacks by the hundreds picking the cotton by hand. I felt like I was time warping back to the Antebellum era. In the Ozarks I saw no blacks at all - zero. In Eureka, Arkansas, we ate lunch at a restaurant on a lake where there were a lot of retirees. I chatted with a few. They picked that area because  it was 1) cheap, and 2) all white. They said the latter with no sense of shame or embarrassment.

Oh, horrible state.

That's probably true of the Ozarks continuing on into MO.......ugh.

Arkansas's looking more popular than Alabama so far.  That's interesting.

In all honesty, this is what I thought the map would look like at the end of the game:

Lean FS. Yeah, it has some problems, but it has areas worth visiting, too. Eureka Springs and Hot Springs look like nice places to stay for a couple days.

I see what you did there.
I'd expect the libertarian-leaning states (New England, the West) scoring high and the authoritarian-leaning ones (the Deep South) scoring less high.

I'll say that Florida doesn't top 40% approval.
