My campaign promises are twofold. If elected, I will do all that is in my power to

1) Effect an immediate merger of the governments of the Pacific and Midwest regions, so as to finally provide the competitive regional elections that have been absent for so long.
2) Make "Communist Daughter" by Neutral Milk Hotel the official anthem of the region.

Why do you believe the Midwest and the Pacific aren't competitive?
I mean, TNF constantly faces challenge, and in the Pacific you had a very contested race for the senate seat as well.

I mean regional elections. I'll admit that I don't pay close election to the Alþing, but in the Pacific Council there's always trouble finding enough people to fill all the spots.

Ii have to recognize the state legislative elections would be quite competitive.

Have you something in mind about what a West (pacific + midwest) region would be? I mean, in term of political offices;

It would have a governor and a council and perhaps some kind of judge. I think a five-member council would be a good number.

Obviously it would be absurd to call a merged region anything other than the Pacific, were the overwhelming majority of its non-fantasy citizens would live.
