Seriously I'm addicted to pop I have drank over 100 ounces of it today. I drink like at least 300 oz a week if not more. I think I'm addicted it is so tasty. I hate diet pop and would rather drink water. I would lose like 20+ pounds if I stopped drinking it and would not feel so bad. I tried to just buy a smaller one but that didn't work the two liter is only 1.19 plus .10 deposit right now very cheap. I hate to think of how much I spend on pop. I should tell them not to sell me pop. Ugh I need to stop drinking pop. They need support groups for excessive pop drinkers. I considered switching to beer because I won't drink nearly as much like only two beers but beer is more expensive.

I sympathize with you - I usually drink at least one or two cold pops a day. I'm currently going through one 24-pack every two weeks. On top of that, I usually get a cold pop for lunch and dinner - usually a Sprite or Coke.

It is definitely an addiction - I would recommend just trying to cut down on your pop intake. You could be addicted to a lot worse! Tongue

Also, switching to beer because you drink too much soda may be the worst solution ever. Please don't do that.

Oh yeah, Michigan is unique in saying "pop" for soft drinks.

if you're in or near a major city I guarantee you there's a 12-step group that at least tangentially addresses this.

Southeast also has gone under Northernization so more counties should be soda counties.

So did anyone here overcome a pop or " soda" problem?

I gave it up for a year for a $125 bet.  I could do it again, but I have no desire to (it's annoying not to NEVER be able to drink it, especially at parties/events), but since then, I don't drink it nearly as much as I used to.

Thanks for the map! This probably explains why I say soda.

I went a week without pop once in high school. I went on a trip with a group from church and they bet me all a 12 pack of pop I couldn't go all week without pop, I won.

I need to just cut back, I'm starting a job on Saturday I think so I won't have as much time to sit and drink pop.

Club soda with a splash of real fruit juice is a nice alternative.

I too am from a "soda" island.  Grew up outside of St.Louis.  Now I live in the land of pop, but I'm single-handily changing the culture (not really).

I think starting a new job will really help sine I won't have as much time to drink pop. Also I will have to get in a normal sleep schedule and pop will hurt that. I realize that switching to beer might be a bad idea but I don't drink that much alcohol.

Here we call that "limo".

If I were in the US, I'd call it "soda" though. Coke and pop makes no sense.
