This is pretty straight forward but I will let Maxwell explain why this is a good idea. And he has 24 hours to do that by the way.

If people agree, I would like to fast track this if possible. Then I can bring up either the Honest Term Limits or Fair Amendment Procedure in this slot.

I dunno, I'd say that we should try to apply the same standards at the federal level, and Senators are the ones voting on these bills all of the time at that. How would Senators be handled with regarding inactivity should this pass?

We already have standards for inactivity in the Senate. It is called expulsion, and I worked to lower the threshold for expelling Senators. In exchange for that, I am eliminating this weird constitutional loophole.

And yeah, this is pretty straight forward, let's get this passed.

Ah, all right, I wasn't completely aware of the procedures with that. In that case I'm willing to support this amendment. Let's get the vote done soon.

In fact the expulsion standard, while the same number of days is, a stricter activity requirement then the Expecations Amendment, which is being altered here. If a Leave of absence was given say for the November 10-12 and then a Senator was gone until the 20th or whatever. He would be subject to potential expulsion because seven days had elapsed after the specified dates of the Leave, a requirement for the leave to be valid I should note. The Constitution has no standards, just that a leave be present and thus someone could BK their way out in the above example, whereas doing so would be much harder with the expulsion standard.

Also impeachment as a process was never designed to be used on a legislative branch, but was supposed to be a check by the legislature on the Judicial and the Executive branches. The Legislative branch policies itself with expulsion in accordance with the Constitution.

Long story short: I request unanimous consent to waive the minimum debate and cloture requirements to proceed immediately to a final vote. Senators have 24 hours to object.

For the record, in the 4 regions that voted, the amendment got 71% of the popular vote. Make of that what you will.

This should've been a one hundred percent amendment, or at least a high percentage one.

It would have passed if people did you know, actually fing listen to you. Instead the standard assumption is that you are stupid or crazy and thus guilty until proven innocent.

I fail to see how one method or another would change that fact.

Well, the regions can keep trying to pass it, right?

Yes. The flip side of this is that with the present system, barring regional limits can be voted on again. I think PiT would no best as he is the one who emphasizes this matter the most.
